TFI Local Link Longford Westmeath Roscommon to serve Route 468
TFI Local Link Longford Westmeath Roscommon is pleased to announce an upcoming change to public
transport services in the region that will ensure continued reliable connectivity
for communities in County Roscommon and surrounding areas.
From 28 June 2026, Route 468 (Strokestown to Carrick-on-Shannon) will transition from operation by Bus Éireann
to operation by TFI Local Link Longford Westmeath Roscommon.
Passengers can be assured that this change in operator will not impact service levels.
The route will continue to run on the same timetable and with the same frequency,
maintaining its established schedule and reliability.
The service will continue to provide two return trips on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays,
supporting essential travel for work, education, shopping,
and social purposes. This transition reflects TFI Local Link’s ongoing commitment to strengthening rural transport services and ensuring that communities remain well connected.
TFI Local Link Longford Westmeath Roscommon looks forward to welcoming passengers on board and continuing to deliver accessible, dependable public transport services across the region.
